Lavender, lilac and soft pinks for summer wedding

Sharing some lovely photos of Carol and Pauls wedding at Shorne Church and Sevenoaks.
The arch at the church gate was smothered with roses in shades of cream, lavender and palest pink
Clematis pokes cheekily above the roses and astrantia
giving a good sense of movement to the arrangement on the
mantlepiece

a closer look, the pew ends were simple bunches
of scented stocks and sedum and lisianthus were
used for the buttonholes

Marquee Elegance

Lovely jubbly flowers for marquee wedding in superb setting in Benenden. Although the bridal flowers were soft I upped the tone slightly for the marquee. Personally I think the 'whiteness' of a marquee needs to be broken up a bit. Mercuried glass cake stands elevated the table pieces for more impact but without impeding views across the tables. I used Splash Sensation roses, fresh lavender, Amnesia roses, astilbe, astrantia, senecio, fabulous lavender/blue/pink hydrangea and more.
Bird cages were suspended over the Chill Out Zone with fab sofas and tables provided by The Complete Chillout Company who really know how to transform a marquee limited it seems only by your imagination.

Vintage & Classic combine at Chilston Park

Last weekends wedding was at the beautiful Chilston Park Hotel in Lenham, Kent. Elspeth chose to carry a handtied posy of vintage pinks and Tom wanted classic cream, white and green table centres to surround the storm lanterns. This simple colour palette was wonderful to work with, enabling me to introduce texture, interest and scent.

I used a base of small leaf pittosporum and added sprigs of fresh mint and lavender foliage, clusters of cream double lisianthus and large heads of white dill.

Superb large cream stocks and freesia provided scent with lots of filler flower including wax flower, astrantia, thlaspi green bell and strands of spanish moss to the back.
It was fantastic to receive an email from Elspeth on Monday morning to thank me for such beautiful flowers

Pomanders & Circlets

Lovely little rose and lavender pomanders for some seriously cute flowergirls, here they are hanging ready to go, havent got the pictures from the day - yet.

Used my favourite spray rose - majolica

The circlets were inspired by Kate Moss's wedding, very informal and with ribbon twined around. I love this effect

Parma Violet

Two beautiful weekend weddings over, am exhausted again. Monday-itis definately exists for me. Both were totally different, one a minimalist oriental theme and the other very Kent Wedding. The venue for this was the lovely Preston Court and (even though I say so myself) the bouquet was one of my all time favourites. Used a lovely new spray rose to compliment the Pacific Blue roses, fresh lavender and sage, lavender lisianthus, truly scrumptious. Will get a picture up asap. Now heading off to school sports day - but it's drizzling and I am dragging my feet....will have two little faces eagerly waiting to see if I can see them so must go!
